World Championship ready!
Bahrain’s HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, achieved an impressive feat by winning the first-place award at the Hungary International Endurance Race.
In the competition, known for its “challenging terrain,” Sheikh Nasser triumphantly completed the 120 km course in 7 hours, 22 minutes, and 59 seconds, signifying his global readiness for the World Championship in France this September.
In his acceptance speech, Sheikh Nasser conveyed that this victory provided a significant confidence boost leading to the World Championship.
Moreover, he pointed out the Hungarian International Race’s challenging nature, which is widely known as one of the toughest competitions on the European circuit—make his victory even sweeter and more meaningful for him.
Sheikh Nasser also lauded the Hungarian Equestrian Federation for its exceptional organization and commended his Bahraini teammates for their contributions to the race’s success.
On his Instagram, the 37-year-old athlete also expressed his enjoyment towards the victory.
“Thank you, Hungary. Another Victorious day. And this my friends, is our last preparation before the world championship,” the caption read.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Abdulhamid Al Hashimi and Othman Abduljalil Al Awadhi, both competitors from the Royal Team, displayed their exceptional skills and secured second and third places, respectively, completing a clean sweep and thrilling finish for Bahrain in the race.
