The Bahrain Victorious 13 returned stronger at the Supertri League event in Boston over the weekend, clinching silver in both the men’s and women’s divisions and the team standings.
In the competition, Georgia Taylor-Brown led most of the women’s race alongside her teammate Kate Waugh.
A quick finish in the first run leg allowed Taylor-Brown to clinch a Short Chute for Crown Racing, allowing one of her teammates to race a shorter final run leg.
After Barbara de Koning, a U23 athlete and new addition to the team, broke the 90-second limit, it was subsequently granted to Cassandre Beaugrand with an eye toward the team finish rankings, helping her earn an eighth-place finish.
On the last run leg, French-Luxembourger triathlete Jeanne Lehair outperformed Taylor-Brown and Waugh by breaking the tape thanks to a well-timed charge and Short Chute.
Lehair nailed the first place, while Taylor-Brown and Waugh bagged the second and third, respectively.
Meanwhile, British triathlete Alex Yee emerged as the champion in the men’s race while Bahrain Victorious 13 member Hayden Wilde and Dorian Coninx of France were named second and third placers, respectively.
Other members, such as Max Stapley, finished 12th and Vincent Luis at 5th.
Thanks to the silver medals from Taylor-Brown and Wilde and bonus points from swim, bike, and run performances, the Crown Racing league team, of which Bahrain Victorious 13 is a principal partner, ended with 81 points to seal the second spot.
