Bahrain signs, Icelandic Aron Kristjansson as new national team coach.

Bahrain Handball Association (BHA) has signed Icelandic Aron Kristjansson as new national team coach.

The new coach will lead the national squad in the Tokyo Olymic Games, set to be held this summer in Japan, the 2022 Asian Championship, qualifier to the World Cup 2023.

Kristjansson is familiar with Bahrain, having previously trained the national team which achieved good results and qualified tro the Olympic Games.

The national squad also clinched the silver medal in the Asian Games for the first time in Bahrain’s sports history. Kristjansson also led the team to to 2021 world cup.
