Bahrain’s Crown Prince visits Circuit Zandvoort for Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix; sees McLaren winning moment

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, visited Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands to attend the highly anticipated 2024 Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix.

During the race, His Royal Highness had the pleasure of observing McLaren’s exceptional performance, which was largely attributed to the outstanding driving skills of British and Belgian racing driver Lando Norris.

Norris secured his second career win in the competition, crossing the finish line over 20 seconds ahead of Belgian-Dutch motorsports racing driver Max Verstappen.

The Crown Prince also conveyed congratulatory messages to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Crown Prince commended McLaren for their outstanding performance and triumph at the Grand Prix, emphasizing that Bahrain’s international sports accomplishments, particularly motorsports, contribute to its strong global presence.

Earlier this year, Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund, Mumtalakat, acquired full ownership of the McLaren Group, making Mumtalakat the largest shareholder of the British luxury automotive manufacturer and its Formula 1 team.
